FACT OF THE DAY: it’s apparently not okay to raise 16,200 seagulls from birth, train them every day in the art of aerial warfare, and then unleash them upon a medium sized township
Reading this now. My therapist recommended it & it is a very helpful, quick read. It helps with those of us who have issues with parental guilt & manipulation. It’s purpose is to help you regain your self worth & develop new ways to interact.
One of the best books I’ve ever read. It literally changed my life.
Anyone who thinks they may have been abused in any way by a parent or caregiver should read this book.
I wish there were a way to download this book. I want it, but I don’t want my parents to find it. :/
Passing this along for people who need it!
After receiving your grievances, I want you all to know it’s not hopeless, okay?
reblogging to make sure everyone sees this
WHENEVER YOU SEE THIS POST ON YOUR DASH, STOP WHAT YOU’RE DOING AND WRITE ONE SENTENCE FOR YOUR CURRENT PROJECT.
Just one sentence. Stop blogging for one minute and write a single sentence. It could be dialogue, it could be a nice description of scenery, it could be a metaphor, I don’t care. The point is, do it. Then, when you finish, you can get back to blogging.
If this gets viral, you might just have your novel finished by next Tuesday.
so fucking sad
Just shows me that people love to bitch, but they don’t like to really do anything about what they’re bitching about.
Its really sad.
WHERE IS THE LIE
! NEWS FLASH !
Did you know that in Hawaii, because we “help” them out, most of them instead loaf around and do nothing? The state government lets them collect a homelessness check every month or so, and they don’t have to move a muscle. They don’t want to spend that money on rent or a car (hey, it’s as close to an RV as you can get here); they’ll spend it on excessive amounts of food, drugs, or luxury items. I myself can testify to it; I used to feed the homeless with my girl scout troop, but one time we saw a homeless guy talking on his cell phone. He is provided with money for food, clothing, and possibly enough for a small apartment room, and instead he spends it on a cell phone and a plan for it. They will sacrifice living under a roof for free money from the government, and they don’t even have to be looking for a job. They can do absolutely nothing, I repeat, nothing, to collect the homelessness check.
There are indeed people who need the check, but the vast majority of homeless people here don’t need it and find a job.
That’s a very one-dimensional view you’ve imposed on them there! How dare you automatically assume the problem is the same everywhere.
